Just got home from the doctor...

1 CM dilated, I'm guessing still 50% effaced, and the baby has descended since the last check.

My next appointment, on Monday, will put me right before 40 weeks along, so she said we'd talk about the possibility of inducing at the next appointment. Squeak!

I am totally going to throw some assvice out there and if you do different I will be fine.

I was induced twice with Emma and never really got anywhere. My 2nd induction was on my due date. Sometimes, I think that maybe it didnt work, and I had to have a c-section because Emma wasnt ready to come out and maybe if I had given her a few extra days, she would have come on her own.

Who knows though. I sincerely hope you go into labor on your own though!

Very exciting! :) I was induced and then had to have a c-section because my body is wonky. Everything went great though and I would not have done anything differently. Will be thinking of you and your little one. Hugs!

Thank you so much for the comment on my blog, girlfriend. I'm a little ticked because I have hardly gotten any emails or comments from friends. I know I'm probably being a little sensitive, but it's not like they're going to wake the baby by sending a quick email, ya know?

I am so excited for you as you stand on the brink of this wonderful adventure that is motherhood! It's fun to have someone out there in cyberspace who's going through the same things at almost exactly the same time as myself. It's been amazing to experience such an extreme life change that happens in almost the blink of an eye. The maternal instincts kick in immediately and it takes just a few days to learn how to diagnose many of those cries and sighs. Your heart is going to melt when she smiles at you and you're going to fall in love with every glance. Any pain you go through in labor will be a distant memory when you see her for the first time, I can (almost) guarantee that.

By the way, I have you to thank for introducing me to the Pioneer Woman blogs. She has become one of my heroes.

I'm excited for you. Been watching your progress right from the start. My advise about induction though. Don't do it UNLESS absolutely necessary. My pregnancy was 10 days late, I was covered in hives, I was huge and my doctor refuse to intervene and I'm so glad he did. When I went into labor, I was really in labor and I had my 9 lb 3 oz baby in 6 hours. No anesthetic. And she was my first. You'll have that baby when she's ready and nothing will stop her.

Peace, Out
