Dinner in a Flash: Hula Melts

by Divine Domesticity on January 15th, 2009

Many thanks to Real Mom Kitchen for this recipe for delicious Hula Melts. If you are like our family and are limited on time, try this recipe out. I also would have liked it with provolone cheese. Real Mom Kitchen baked her sandwiches in the oven, but I saved a bit of time by heating in a saute pan.

Another great recipe that I love that is ready in a flash is Lasagna Sandwiches.

Hula Melts
Makes several servings

Hoagie Rolls
Deli Ham
Sliced Pineapple
Barbecue Sauce
Deli Swiss Cheese
butter for rolls

1. Layer sandwich ingredients on hoagie rolls. Heat a saute pan to medium high. Spread a little bit of soft butter to the outside of the hoagies. Place sandwiches in saute pan, heating on each side until crispy and brown. While heating, press sandwich down a bit to flatten it. Serve warm.

These were a hit with my family. I love to try new recipe's- especially simple ones. I used hamburger buns and provolone cheese for mine, and broiled them open faced under the broiler. Yummy! Thanks again for sharing. Love all the recipes you post ( :
